.NAME Domain Name Registrations
Introduced in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the only one supposed to be for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired third-level domains remained working.
Through our firm, you can order your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
The dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your local language.
